AI NOTE TAKER – TERMS OF USE

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AI Note Taker iOS application and related services (collectively, the “Services”), which enable users to record, process, transcribe, and summarize audio content using artificial intelligence technologies.

By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.

2. DEFINITIONS

“User”, “You”, or “Your” means the individual using the Services.

“AI Note Taker”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our” refers to the operator of the Services.

“User Content” means audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, and other materials created, uploaded, or generated through the Services.

3. ELIGIBILITY AND AGE REQUIREMENTS

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction, to use the Services.

If you are under 18 years old, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Services.

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

4. NO ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

AI Note Taker does not require user account registration to use the core features of the Services.

You are responsible for maintaining control of your device and ensuring the security of your local data.

5. USER CONTENT AND RECORDING RESPONSIBILITY

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all User Content you create or upload.

5.2 Recording Laws and Consent

You are solely responsible for:

Complying with applicable recording laws
Providing any required notices
Obtaining necessary consent from individuals involved in recordings

AI Note Taker does not verify consent or legality of recordings.

5.3 License to Operate the Service

By using the Services and submitting User Content, you grant AI Note Taker a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

Process audio
Generate transcripts
Create summaries
Operate and improve the Services

This license exists solely to provide the Services.

5.4 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Transcriptions, summaries, and outputs are generated using automated AI systems.

We do not guarantee:

Accuracy
Completeness
Reliability
Fitness for legal, medical, financial, or professional use

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated outputs before relying on them.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

Certain features require a paid subscription.

Payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

We do not process or store payment card information.

Refunds are handled according to Apple’s policies.

7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Services rely on third-party providers, including:

AI processing providers
Subscription management providers
Apple payment processing

These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party systems or service interruptions caused by them.

8. PROHIBITED USE

You agree not to:

Use the Services for unlawful purposes
Upload harmful, malicious, or infringing content
Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the Services
Use the Services to violate privacy or intellectual property rights

9. DATA STORAGE

User Content is primarily stored locally on your device unless temporarily processed to provide AI functionality.

You may delete recordings and content within the application. Once permanently deleted, they cannot be recovered.

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

Merchantability

Accuracy of AI-generated outputs

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI Note Taker shall not be liable for:

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data
Business interruption
Reliance on AI-generated content
Unauthorized recordings by users

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the preceding 12 months.

12. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

You may stop using the Services at any time.

13. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. GOVERNING LAW
